Abstract
The paper describes modern approaches to teaching a foreign language for specific purposes, including motivation of students. The combination of these issues allows to create conditions with a positive effect on the formation of motivation to learning a foreign language, development of professional and cognitive motivation among students of a non-linguistic university.

В роботі описані сучасні підходи до викладання іноземної мови для спеціальних потреб, із урахуванням мотивації студентів. Комбінація цих підходів дозволяє створити умови, які позитивно впливають на формування мотивації до вивчення іноземної мови, розвиток професійної та пізнавальної мотивації у студентів немовного університету.
