Abstract
The article describes the mechanisms for development and progression of metabolic disorders in patients with hypertension and diabetes mellitus type 2. Identified statistically significant relationships between the degree of obesity and changes in carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in the studied patients, which contributes greatly to cardiovascular risk.
