Abstract

The authors of the publication present the results of a study conducted in 40 patients with thoracic trauma, complicated pulmonary contusion and the development of acute respiratory distress syndrome. The results of two types of invasive pulmonary ventilation compared: volume-controlled and pressure-controlled. The authors of the study compared the indicators of central hemodynamics, blood oxygen saturation in the conditions of special respiratory tests, and indicators of the content of carbon dioxide in exhaled air in patients of two groups. No advantages found for any of the compared ventilation regimes
