The influance of dapagliflosin on the level of blood pressure in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and arterial hypertension

Abstract

The combination of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM-2) and arterial hypertension (AH) increases the risk of development of cardiovascular complications in 2-3 times. One of the mechanisms for the development of DM-2 is the increasing of the reabsorption of glucose by the kidneys, that is why we have the introduction into the practice of new class of oral hypoglycemic drugs - sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2).
