Abstract
The research examines the increasing consumption of energy drinks among military personnel since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, despite known health risks associated with these beverages. A survey conducted in a frontline military hospital revealed that while 50% of respondents had not consumed energy drinks before the war, the number of military personnel consuming these beverages has risen to 70%, with 43% consuming several drinks daily. The study found that 76% of soldiers reported needing to consume more drinks than usual during combat missions to achieve greater effects, experiencing benefits such as increased vigor, mental stimulation, and enhanced endurance. However, 50% of respondents also reported adverse effects, including insomnia, tachycardia, frequent urination, tremors, and headaches. The research highlights medical concerns about these drinks' ingredients, including caffeine and various stimulants, which can lead to serious health issues affecting the cardiovascular, excretory, and nervous systems, particularly when consumed in large quantities. The authors conclude that while energy drinks provide temporary performance benefits for military personnel during combat missions, their consumption should be limited or replaced with less harmful alternatives to prevent potential health problems
