Аnxiety and depression screening in medical students from abroad countries

Abstract

Foreign students have one more significant factor endangering their mental health, as they have to endure the same load in totally new cultural environment far from homeland. However, even with high attention directed towards that problem, the efficiency of treatment is poor varying from 10 to 50% in different countries, and one of the reasons causing such low efficiency is under- and misdiagnosis; moreover, there's not enough data in literature considering anxiety and depression monitoring among Ukrainian medical schools, thus proving the necessity of such studies.
