Abstract
Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) activates degenerative processes in the joint, is involved in the regulation of carbohydrate metabolism, induces insulin resistance in adipose tissue and muscle, inhibits genes that are involved in digestion and depositing glucose.
