Item Analysis of color properties of raster images of histological microspecimens: own research experience(2022) Ivanova, Mariia; Myroshnychenko, Mykhailo; Khara, Georgy; Arseniev, Oleksandr; Olkhovsky, Vasil; Grygorian, Edgar; Fedulenkova, Yuliya; Kozlov, SergiiThis study is aimed to develop a computer program to analyze the color propertiesof raster images of histological microspecimens used in pathological anatomy and forensic medicine. When developing a computer program, we used the system for building client applications – Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). The system allows you to create applications with visually attractive user interaction capabil ties. The programming language is C#, as well as basic graphics capabilities of the .NET Framework system are used. To speed up the display we applied double buffering. In the course of the research, the authors developed a modern computer program «Analysis of color properties of raster images». This program allows you to analyze the color of each individual pixel of a photograph in RGB and Lab color models, comparing the colors and brightness of individual pixels, selecting groups of points and determining statistical characteristics of them. Characteristic points are well distinguishable in the photographs, studied with the program «Analysis of color properties of raster images». This makes it possible to select and automate these properties, using computer recognition algorithms, completely removing human factor’s influence on the analysis results. The computer program «Analysis of color properties of raster images» is of significant scientific and practical interest for specialists both in the field of morphology (pathologists, forensic experts, etc.), and in the field of other biomedical disciplines.Item Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 in mucous membrane of small and large intestines in patients in post-COVID-19 period(2022-10-21) Myroshnychenko, Mykhailo; Kapustnyk, Nataliia; Arseniev, Oleksandr; Molodan, DmytroItem Beginning and end of human life: point of view of modern medical students(2018-09-06) Sorokina, Iryna; Ospanova, Tetyana; Myroshnychenko, Mykhailo; Tryfonova, NataliiaThe main aim of study was to clarify the point of view of medical students to the key moments of human life and death.Item Beginning and end of human life: point of view of modern medical students(2018-09-08) Ospanova, Tetyana; Sorokina, Iryna; Tryfonova, Nataliia; Myroshnychenko, MykhailoThe aim of the survey was to assess the bioethics knowledge among the medical students.Item Characteristics of autopsy material in cases of chronic diffuse pathology of the liver parenchyma diagnosed during patient’s lifetime using the ultrasound method(2020) Fedulenkova, Yuliia; The aim: Of the study is to analyze autopsy cases where chronic diffuse pathology of the liver parenchyma was diagnosed during patient’s lifetime using the ultrasound method. In this study archival material (autopsy protocols and microspecimens of these cases) of the pathological anatomy department of the Communal Nonprofit Enterprise «Regional Clinical Hospital» (Kharkiv) was used for the period from 2012 to 2018. The cases diagnosed with a chronic diffuse pathology of the liver parenchyma according to ultrasound data were selected among all cases. Results: The term «chronic diffuse pathology of the liver parenchyma», which is widely used in ultrasound diagnostics, is morphologically a collective term that combines pathological conditions such as fatty hepatosis, fibrosis or cirrhosis of the liver, chronic hepatitis, malignant tumors of the liver, metastatic liver damage and liver infiltration by leukemic cells, liver abscesses. According to the analysis of archival material for the period from 2012 to 2018, there was no change in the relative number of cases with fatty hepatosis, fibrosis or cirrhosis of the liver, chronic hepatitis, malignant tumors of the liver, metastatic liver damage and liver infiltration by leukemic cells, liver abscesses. Among all cases with revealed liver pathology, both separately by year and as a whole for the entire studied period, a predominance of the relative number of cases with fatty hepatosis, fibrosis or cirrhosis of the liver was noted. The ultrasound term «chronic diffuse pathology of the liver parenchyma», taking into account the few cases identified during the analysis where the morphological picture of the liver corresponded to the age norm, needs to be improved, as well as additional diagnostic criteria should be developed in order to correctly use it in practice and avoid diagnostic errors. Conclusions: The term «chronic diffuse pathology of the liver parenchyma», which is widely used in ultrasound diagnostics, is morphologically a collective term that combines pathological conditions such as fatty hepatosis, fibrosis or cirrhosis of the liver, chronic hepatitis, malignant tumors of the liver, metastatic liver damage and liver infiltration by leukemic cells, liver abscesses. The ultrasound term «chronic diffuse pathology of the liver parenchyma» needs to be improved as well as additional diagnostic criteria should be developed in order to correctly use it in practice and avoid diagnostic errors.Item Chronic inflammatory processes of the maternal genitourinary system, its role in cardiovascular diseases development in their children: Ukrainian and European experience of prevention as the key to the health of future generations(2023) Olianych, Serhii; Myroshnychenko, Mykhailo; Pasiyeshvili, Nana; Kapustnyk, Nataliia; Bibichenko, VictoriaCardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain the leading cause of morbidity in the world. The burden of CVDs continues to increase over the past decade in almost all countries of the world. The prevalence of CVDs in the world has almost doubled from 271 million i 1990 to 523 million in 2019. The number of deaths from CVDs over the same period has increased by twofold from 12.1 million to 18.6 million. The indicators of years of life with disability and lost years also doubled in total from 17.7 million in 1990 to 34.4 million in 2019. Data from Ukrainian and European statistics testify to the need for timely active measures aimed at preventing the development of CVDs. Modern strategies for the prevention of CVDs are primarily aimed at correcting the known risk factors: quitting smoking, regular physical exercise, normalizing body mass index, glucose, normalizing blood pressure, etc. What is not taken into account in this strategy? The very first periods of a human life, which significantly program health, duration and quality of life, remain beyond attention. In the structure of genital and extragenital pathology of women of reproductive age, significant parts are inflammatory diseases of the genitourinary system, which are characterized by predominantly chronic course. Simultaneous development of inflammatory diseases of the urinary and reproductive systems is explained by the facts that these systems organs develop from one primary germ layer (mesoderm), they have a close anatomical-physiological connection, a common blood supply and lymphatic system, and are also target organs of sex hormones activity. Babies born prematurely are at a greater risk of developing heart failure later in life. The incidence of heart failure in individuals born extremely prematurely (less than 28 weeks gestation) was 17.0 times higher compared to those born at term (37 weeks or more), after taking into account other factors. Similarly, those born very prematurely (28 to 31 weeks gestation) had an incidence of heart failure 3.58 times higher compared to term births. The analysis of the research results of Ukrainian and European scientists has shown that chronic inflammatory processes of the genitourinary system of the mother are a significant damaging factor that can change the morphological and functional state of the fetal and newborn cardiovascular system and cause the development of CVDs at various stages of ontogenesis. Thus, chronic inflammatory processes of the mother's genitourinary system are one of the factors that can cause the development of CVDs in children at different stages of ontogenesis. The classic concept of CVDs prevention should be supplemented taking into account the programming effect of harmful factors that act on the preconception and prenatal stages and reliably increase the risk of CDVs development. Among the reproduktive age, it is extremely necessary to carry out measures aimed at prevention, timely diagnostics and treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the genitourinary system.Item Clinical and morphological correlation dependencies and their significance in patients with complications of labored eruption of the lower third molars(2021-03) Malanchuk, Vladislav; Volovar, Oksana; Oblap, Mykola; Brodetskyi, Igor; Dobryi-Vechir, Tatyana; Hryhorovskyi, Valerii; Brodetska, Liudmyla; Dyadyk, Olena; Myroshnychenko, MykhailoThe aim is to determine the clinical and morphological dependencies, which are important for diagnostics, treatment and prediction of outcomes of pathological processes in the region of the LTM with complicated eruption, as based on the study of histopathological changes of paradental tissue (mucous membrane, walls of retromolar pocket, alveolar bone tissue). The correlation relationships between the patients’ clinical data and the morphological parameters of damage to paradental tissue are weak, multidirectional and uncertain in the majority of combinations (considering the available number of biopsy specimens studied). The close certain positive dependence between the damage of the squamous epithelium and the inflammation activity in the lamina propria mucosae, covering the tooth: in the vast majority of cases, the presence of damaged epithelium (within the biopsy specimen) is associated with the inflammation of high activity, was established as based on correlation relationships between the morphological parameters of damage to paradental tissue. The found pathological changes and the correlations justify surgical tactics on paradental soft and osseous tissues that are directed on the LTM sparing.Item Clinical and morphological features of rhinosinusitis in patients with post-COVID-19 syndrome(2021-10) Myroshnychenko, Mykhailo; Lupyr, Andrii; Kalashnyk-Vakulenko, Yuliia; Borzenkova, Iryna; Kalashnyk, Mykhailo; Yurevych, Nadiia; Bondarenko, Olha; Anohina, Elena; Selivanova, LarisaItem Clinical and morphological features of the ovarian Brenner tumor: current state of the problem(2020) Myroshnychenko, Mykhailo; Myroshnychenko, SerhiiOvarian tumours are an actual problem of present-day medicine, being one of the most difficult sections of modern oncology. The majority of ovarian tumours are of epithelial origin. The ovarian Brenner tumour represents a rare epithelial ovarian neoplasm and accounts for 1-2% of all ovarian neoplasms. The aim of the study is to identify clinical and morphological features of ovarian Brenner tumour. The material was 5 cases of Brenner ovarian tumour, diagnosed in the study of 4 cases of operational material and 1 case of autopsy observation for the period from 2007 to 2019. Histological and immunohistochemical staining methods were used. The microspecimens were examined on an Olympus BX-41 microscope (Japan). Ovarian Brenner tumour is a rather rare pathology, the histogenesis of which is debatable. Morphological examination is the main method for its diagnosing. Ovarian Brenner tumours developed in women of middle and old age (the average age was 51.8 years). Women with a malignant ovarian Brenner tumour were older than women with a benign variant (the average age in women with a malignant variant was 55.8 years, with a benign variant – 49.3 years). Benign ovarian Brenner tumour occurred more frequently compared with a malignant one. Malignant and benign variants of ovarian Brenner tumour were characterized by a one-sided nature of the lesion with frequent involvement in the pathological process of the left ovary. Clinically, in patients with a benign variant of the Brenner tumour in all cases an abdominal pain syndrome was determined, combined in one case with metrorrhagia. A malignant ovarian Brenner tumour was clinically manifested by severe abdominal pain syndrome, combined in one case with complaints of an increase in the size of the abdomen, and in another case with intoxication syndrome and a clinic of small bowel obstruction. In all cases a malignant ovarian Brenner tumour metastasized to the omentum and in one case also to the small intestine wall. Macroscopically the ovarian Brenner tumour had the form of a node, the dimensions of which were significantly larger for the malignant variant compared with a benign, dense or soft consistency, on the cross section of a whitish-gray or brown color with cysts. A damaged ovary with a malignant variant of Brenner tumour significantly increased in size, while with a benign one, its size did not change or increased slightly. In all cases the malignant and benign variants of ovarian Brenner tumour were combined with various reproductive system organs pathologies (mucinous papillary cystadenoma of the ovary, serous ovarian cyst, ovarian endometriosis, endometrial hyperplasia, cervical nabothian cysts, uterine leiomyoma). Conclusions: A study conducted by the authors revealed clinical and morphological features of a rare ovarian tumour – Brenner tumour, which will contribute to a better understanding of this pathology by the doctors of various specialties, and improve the treatment and diagnostic process.Item Clinical-morphological features of wilms’ tumour: analysis of literature data and a case from practice(2019-11) Капустник, Наталія Володимирівна; Капустник, Наталья Владимировна; Kapustnik, Natalia; Пасієшвілі, Нана Мерабівна; Пасиешвили, Нана Мерабовна; Pasiyeshvili, Nana; Urzhumov, Victor; Myroshnychenko, Mykhailo; Borzenkova, Iryna; Molodan, Dmytro; Grinevich, VictorWilms’ tumour, or nephroblastoma, is a malignant tumour, originating from nephrogenic germ cells that copy histology of developing kidneys and often contain cells at different stages of their differentiation. The article analyses clinical-morphological features of Wilms’ tumour, which is typical for childhood and seldom occurs in adults. The authors suppose that one of the causes of Wilms’ tumour development can be maternal complications, which arise during pregnancy, leading to inhibition of glomerulogenesis and tubulogenesis in the offspring kidneys, an increase the number of foci of primitive (immature) tissue, from which this tumour, as it is known, can originate. The described саse from practice of Wilms’ tumour is of particular interest because of an untypical age category, when the above pathology was diagnosed, demonstrateItem Compensatory and regenerative potential in kidneys of newborns from mothers with complicated pregnancy by preeclampsia and iron deficiency anemia(2022-09-03) Myroshnychenko, Mykhailo; Kapustnyk, Nataliia; Shapkin, Anton; Moiseienko, Tetiana; Torianyk, Inna; Ivannik, Victoria; Chastii, Tetiana; Mozhaiev, IvanItem Development of soft and hard skills for PhD students of Medical University as a tool for the formation of highly qualified scientific and pedagogical staff(2021) Myroshnychenko, Mykhailo; Kapustnik, Valeriy; Myasoedov, ValeriyItem Ecological education and its relationship with students’ health(2022-02-03) Griban, Grygoriy; Okhrimenko, Ivan; Myroshnychenko, Mykhailo; Tomenko, Oleksandr; Matrosov, Serhii; Rohovenko, MariiaThe aim is to assess the state of ecological education in student youth and determine its relationship to the level of students’ health. The formative experiment aimed at studying the relationship between the level of ecological education and the level of students’ health involved 59 students. Results: The ascertaining stage of the experiment showed that the vast majority of students of different specialties revealed a low level of mastery of the components of ecological education. The formative stage of the experiment showed that the EG students significantly improved the level of all components of ecological education, as well as the level of their health (p < 0.001). No significant changes were revealed in the CG (p > 0.05). Conclusions: The research showed that purposeful work on the formation of ecological education in the process of fitness and health recreation activities has a positive effect on all its components (knowledge, character building, worldview, culture) and the level of students’ health. In general, it will help to improve the efficiency of the educational process of students, improve indicators of their life-sustaining and future professional activities.Item The effect of different types of hypoxia on the morpho-functional state of the kidneys of fetuses and newborns: the results of own long-term experimental studies(2022) Мирошниченко, Михайло Сергійович; Myroshnychenko, MykhailoIntroduction. The vast majority of kidney diseases in children and adults have their origins in the antenatal, intranatal or postnatal periods of development. Poor health of women of childbearing potential, complications during pregnancy and delivery often lead to the development of various types of hypoxia (chronic intrauterine hypoxia (CIH), acute intranatal hypoxia, acute postnatal hypoxia (APH), mixed hypoxia (MH)). The latter are a common cause of fetal and neonatal disorders, leading to damage of various organs and systems, including the kidneys. The purpose is to highlight the main results of own long-term experimental studies aimed at determining the effect of different types of hypoxia (CIH, APH, MH) on the morpho-functional state of the kidneys in fetuses and newborns. Materials and methods. In this study, the author modelled alpine hypoxia using a sealed pressure chamber from which air was pumped out, creating conditions for a sharp decrease in atmospheric pressure. Histological, histochemical, immunohistochemical, morphometric and statistical research method were used. Results. Acute postnatal, chronic intrauterine and mixed hypoxia stimulate fibroblastic cells in the kidneys, and chronic intrauterine and mixed hypoxia also induce epithelial-mesenchymal transformation, causing the development of sclerosis, induce apoptosis, proliferation, leading to an imbalance between them due to the prevaling proliferation in acute postnatal and chronic intrauterine hypoxia and apoptosis in mixed hypoxia. Conclusions. Identified morphological changes in the kidneys of fetuses and newborns developed under the influence of acute postnatal, chronic intrauterine and mixed hypoxia, given the unity of structure and function, will lead to functional changes in these organs in subsequent postnatal ontogenesis in such children and the emergence of different nephrological pathology. This study actualizes the implementation of preventive measures among persons of reproductive age, dictates the need for quality pre-pregnancy training, which should be aimed at timely detection and treatment of genital and extragenital pathology in women.Item Endocrine part of the pancreatic dysfunction during overeating in rats(2023) Kovaltsova, Maryna; Myroshnychenko, Mykhailo; Patynko, ElizavetaItem Ethical aspects of conducting research: point of view of medical university students(2023) Topoliuk, Kateryna; Tsymbal, Maryna; Myroshnychenko, MykhailoItem Expression features of human papilloma virus type 16 and anti- Epstein-Barr virus in pleomorphic adenoma, surrounding and intact salivary gland(2021-08) Brodetskyi, Igor; Malanchuk, Vladislav; Dyadyk, Olena; Myroshnychenko, Mykhailo; Kulbashna, Kulbashna; Astapenko, Olena; Feleshtynska, Oksana; Kapustnyk, Nataliia; Kalashnyk-Vakulenko, YuliiaThe aim is to reveal the expression features of MCA to human papilloma virus type 16 and anti-Epstein-Barr virus in the pleomorphic adenoma, surrounding and intact salivary gland. The severity of the expression of these markers in the salivary gland is determined by the histological variant of the tumor (severely expressed in the epithelial variant, moderately expressed in the mixed variant, and minimally expressed in the mesenchymal variant). The immunohistochemical study has shown that the Epstein-Barr virus and, especially, human papilloma virus type 16 can act as exogenous trigger factors involved in the development of pleomorphic adenoma of the salivary glands. The revealed immunohistochemical features of MCA expression to human papilloma virus type 16 and anti- Epstein-Barr virus in the salivary gland surrounding the pleomorphic adenoma and in the intact tissue of the salivary gland make it possible to recommend the extracapsular dissection of the tumor with resection of the adjacent intact tissue of the salivary gland at a distance of 10 mm in patients with pleomorphic adenoma.Item Gender portrait of the COVID-19 infection: analysis of the problem(2021-04) Myroshnychenko, Mykhailo; Kuye, Alesegum; Kapustnyk, NataliiaItem General pathophysiology: methodical instructions for the practical class for foreign students (majoring in «Medicine» and «Dentistry»)(2023) Myroshnychenko, Mykhailo; Safarhalina-Kornilova, N.; Bibichenko, V.; Kucheriavchenko, M.; Pavlova, O.; Shevchenko, O.; Kovaltsova, M.; Koliada, O.; Kuznetsova, M.; Kuzmina, I.; Lytvynenko, O.; Morozov, O.Item Histointegration and other terms in dental implantation(2022-03-03) Malanchuk, Vladislav; Klymentiev, Vadym; Myroshnychenko, MykhailoThe article describes biological and non-biological factors that affect the long-term stay of the implant in the bone under functional load, quality indicators of artificial teeth implantation. Instead of the term «osseointegration», the authors use the terms «histointegration» and «histodisintegration» defining them. The following concepts are used: time of histointegration achievement, histofunctional and histoaesthetic integration/disintegration, mechanical and biological stability/destability, integration/disintegration of implant and prosthetic structure, morphological and functional stability and destability of the implant.
