| dc.description.abstract | The full-scale invasion caused an unprecedented crisis in Ukraine's private medical sector, forcing a rapid transformation from purely commercial to hybrid business models that integrate social initiatives and charitable funding to survive and retain staff. The destruction of public infrastructure and the sharp increase in demand for services related to combat consequences (especially rehabilitation and mental health) created new market priorities and opportunities. Consequently, the private sector is now seen as a key player in the country's recovery, with a strategic shift towards developing effective public-private partnerships (PPPs) to attract essential international investment for reconstruction. Despite facing significant challenges, notably a critical personnel shortage, this market consolidation and strategic repositioning are defining the future of Ukrainian healthcare. | |
