Abstract

Diabetic nephropathy (DN) remains one of the urgent problems of modern medicine. It develops in 36-48% of patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) type 1 and in 18-26% of patients with diabetes mellitus type 2, has a prolonged natural evolution, which leads to the irreversible development of proteinuria and kidney failure.
