Abstract

The effect of synthetic inhibitors of matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) doxycycline on the total proteolytic activity (TPA) in blood in an expiremental thermal ingury in rats has been studied. It is shown that thermal burn without treatment, in experimental rats, accompanied by increased levels of TPA throughout the study period. The use of reference drugs thiotriazoline and methyluracil leads to a reduction of these indicators by the end of the experiment (28-th day). Synthetic MMP inhibitor doxycycline (especially in a dose of 30 mg/kg) was superior to comparative preparations by the ability to normalize TPA level in blood of the thermal damage.
