Abstract

According to various authors, the development of the side effects of cytostatic therapy in the oral cavity occurs in 10–40 % of cases. The conduction of the I cycle of chemotherapy in breast cancer patients was accompanied in 65.4 ± 9.5 % (in 17 of 26 patients) by the development of cheilitis. Marked a further decline in the manifestations of cheilitis in the V and VI CTx cycles – 50.0 ± 10.0 and 34.6 ± 9.5 % respectively. The foregoing dictates the need for monitoring the state of the organs of oral cavity during chemotherapy in breast cancer patients.
