Abstract
Publication deals with the contribution of Mykola Pyrohov to the contemporary medicine and science. Authors had written about his achievements in sphere of medicine: methodic of rhinoplasty, bone plasty, and educational operations for students. He offered statistical method of research, and insisted on the classification of wounded soldiers in war time.
