Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the key provisions of leading guidelines and articles dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC). During the study, conceptual errors were identified in the presented guidelines and articles, leading to false principles in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of DIC. A deep, comprehensive understanding of the functioning of the coagulation system, based on fundamental knowledge, is key to the correct assessment of its state and the choice of the most effective therapy method. The principles of diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of DIC should be based on the pathophysiology of coagulopathy development, clinical data, laboratory and instrumental studies, as well as an understanding of the mechanisms of action of therapeutic agents, taking into account an individual approach. Only the section on clinical transfusiology can provide the necessary professional knowledge on this topic, and a clinical.
