Abstract: Information Technology (IT) is used in all spheres of human activity including medical education. Ability to work with information in WEB and apply the capabilities of modern IT in order to solve professional problems is one of the mandatory professional competencies of a student in a medical university. The use of modern IT in the pedagogical process of a medical university affects the content, forms and methods of students education. The use of multimedia technologies (combining various forms of educational material such as text, sound, graphics, video in a homogeneous digital representation) is one of the most effective teaching methods that improve the process of perceiving new information. Evaluation of students’ knowledge is another important area of application of modern IT in the pedagogical process. Test control is a valid method of empirical research and allows you to overcome subjective assessments of students’ knowledge from the teacher’s side. The use of IT for monitoring and evaluation of knowledge reduces the time required to conduct monitoring through automated processing of responses, and the evaluation process. Thereby, the introduction of modern IT in pedagogical process of medical university provides access to a greater volume of educational information, presents the study material in a figurative form, optimizes active teaching methods and methods of monitoring.
