The rise of stress level among students is a worldwide distributing trend nowadays. According to the 2013 National College Health Assessment, about one-third of U.S. college students reported difficulty functioning due to depression, and almost half said they felt overwhelming anxiety during the last year before the research (American Psychological Association, 2014). In medical students, increased stress level can negatively affect all aspects of life, such as physical health, interpersonal relationships, and medical training itself (Phang C.K., F Mukhtar F. et al, 2015). Categories of stress affecting students include academic, financial, time or health related, and self-imposed (Godman, 1993). Therefore, in conditions of constant time deficiency, the ability of students to distribute the available time according to significance of goals can be a valuable factor of stress level decrease proving the importance of researches in that area. The aim of research was to study the influence of time management skills on perception of stress in medical students.ru_RU
The problem of time deficiency as one of reasons of emotional stress development can be corrected by adequate time management that was proved by current research, as participants with better time management skills showed lower level of stress perception. Therefore, time structure improvement might benefit the well-being of students, leading to increase of both academic achievements and physical state by reduction of stress level. Certain gender differences were found, as examined women showed significantly greater results of stress level that can be related to psychological peculiarities, thus making the further research of possible causes important.ru_RU
