Department of pediatric surgery, Kharkiv National Medical University, Kharkov, Ukraine newborn, intestinal anastomosis, leakage Corresponding author email: pyv.pedsurg@ukr.net INTESTINAL ANASTOMOSIS WITH HIGH RISK OF LEAKAGE iNTroducTioN: Performing of intestinal anastomoses in newborns and young children with multiple atresia, thrombohemorrhagic pro- cesses and infection of abdominal cavity can be complicated with anastomoses failure. Purpose: to diminish the risk of anastomosis failure. mATheriAls ANd meThods: In Kharkiv Regional Children`s Clinical Hospital No.1 during the last 5 years, 385 children with different intesti- nal pathology which required anastomoses formation were treated. We experienced in performing of the original anastomosis in 64 children. They had complex intestinal malformations (29), necrotizing enterocolitis (25), ulcerative necrotic enterocolitis (6), and other abdominal organ`s pathology. Indications for developed technique of intestinal anastomosis were pathological processes with high risk of anastomosis failure and ex- pected long-term disorders of passage. The characteristic of this anasto- mosis technique is semi-enclosed demucosation of the proximal intestinal loop with creating of seromuscular muff-shaped graft. This procedure al- lowed to determine border viability of intestine and isolate suture line with seromuscular graft by the use of sutural or glue fixation. This method of performing anastomosis didn`t take longer than standard techniques. In one child 7 anastomoses were performed, in five children – 3 anastomo- ses, in 10 children – 2 anastomoses and in other cases one anastomosis was performed. There were no anastomosis failure cases after muff- shaped anastomosis technique. resulTs: The autopsy showed viability of seromucosal grafts. The analysis of long-term results demonstrated absence of stenotic manifesta- tions and disturbance of passage through the connected segments. coNclusioNs: Our experience of using muff-shaped anastomosis con- cluded that this type of anastomosis has high reliability in newborns and children of early age in complicated cases. 85 aBrahaMyan Ds aBraMOv KB Abramova A Airapetyan MI Afaunov MV aKselrOv Ma AkopianAS Akopyan M Alexandrov SV Alekseeva TM Alexandrov SV Alkhasov A Arakelyan SH Araqelyan SH Asatrtyan EA Aslanyan AA; Atakulov DO Ayryan EK Bajurea AS Babloyan SA Babloyan SA Babuci S Barova NK Barseghyan HA Basylaishvili Yu V Bataev SM Batrutdinov RT Berbeca A BOtaBaeva as BuaDze n BurgutOv MJ ChiMutin ge ChiMutin Kg DallaKyan Dn DallaKyan nO Davranov BL Daniyarov ES Davydov VV Demin NV Dmitriakov V Dzhavathanova R efreMenKOv a Emeljanova VA Eremia V Eremin DB Evdokimov VN feDOrOv aK Feoktistova E V Frangyan JV Galibin I Gevorgyan AL Geyikyan PA Gheras E Godovanets Yl GolubevaVI Gorbatyuk O Gudumac E Gurevich A Guzhova IV Нabalov M Hakobyan LL Hambartsumyan GP Hambaryan HH Harutyunyan AS Ibraeva AM Igamova SS Ignatyev RO Igamova SS Ivanov PA Izosimov AN JheluDKOva Og Kadyrov ZA Kagan AV Kagantsov IM Kalenteryan HZ; Kankanyan AK Karapetyan AR Karavaeva S A Kashin AS Khachatryan RG Khachatryan W A Khvorostov IN Kim AV Komina E Kornienko G Kotaria N Kotin A N Kotorashvili A Kozlov M Kovarsky SL Kreschenok D Kulikova N V Kulikova Z Kulish TA Kutubidze A Kuznetsova T N Lalazaryan AY Larionov SN Litovcenco AI Livshits MI Madosyan ShV Malchevskij VA Makhmudov ZM Mamatkhanov MR Manukyan S Margulis BA Martirosyan MM Menovshchikova L Mihalcean V Mitupov ZB MOlOtOv rs MOrOzOva sv MUtAlibov iА MulthOff g negru i neMilOva t K nePaliuC i niKOlaev BP niKOlaev s nOuriDJanyan gs PanKratOv iD PashChenKO Kyu PetrOviCi v PlesCO aa PODDuBny i PODratChyan MB POlyaKOv Pn POPOva e B raChKOv vye razuMOvsKy ayu rOzinOv vM saMOChernyCh Ka sargsyan sP satyvalDayev Mn shaqaryan Ma sCutaru vM shaMsiev aM shaMsiev Ja A u t o r s I n d e x Shcherbakova O Shevtsov MA Shramko VN Shtyker SYu Sihaev B E Skliarova T Skopetс AA Skryabin EG Sokolov Y Sottaeva Z Spataru RI Stepanenko NS Stepanov A Stepanyan SV Stepkin MA Stoyan M Strizhov DNa Struiunsky KA Svarich VA Svarich VG svazyan vv Svekatun V Tadevosyan AR Talakvadze L Tarakanov VA Timershin A Tastanbekova ZhU Titova E ; Tcmokaluk EN Ubilava IA Utkina T Vardanyan HP Vardanyan HV Vasilyev K Vivcharuk V Vivcharuk V P Volkodav O V Yusupov ShA Zabrodskaya Yu M Zadvernyuk N Zadvernyuk A S Zakharov AI Zharova NV ZuevaYY Zurbaev NT 6 - 8 S e p t e m b e r 2 0 1 8 Ye r e v a n , A r m e n i a INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF PEDIATTRIC SURGERY & NEUROSURGERY
