Abstract: | We studied the healing and immunomodulatory effects of "Unguentum Thiotriazolini 2%" ("Chemical-pharmaceutical plant "Krasnaya zvezda", Ukraine) in rats with local radiation skin damage. There were 4 groups of rats, each comprised of 6 animals: intact (group 1), skin damage (group 2), skin damage + ointment: methyluracil (group 3) and thiotriazoline (group 4). Rats of 2, 3 and 4 groups were exposed to X-rays of the hip (80 Gy). In groups 3 and 4 the ointments were applied on the skin 1 hour before exposure and for 10 days after it once a day. On 35th day of the experiment immunomorphological study area of exposure (macrophages, cells-producers of interleukins IL-1 and IL-10) was performed. The results showed that the thiotriazoline ointment (group 4) caused more pronounced wound healing effect, manifested by increased macrophage reaction, restoration of cytokine balance, compared with groups 2 and 3. |
