Abstract: The increasing number of foreign students studying at medical universities of Ukraine, the growth of multicultural audience require to identify and create psychological and pedagogical conditions for the special training of teachers focused on the implementation of pedagogical activities in the multicultural environment and acting as intermediaries of intercultural communication and main agents of professional socialization of foreign students. The model of polycultural education points to new strategic guidelines for improving the pedagogical process in the inter-ethnic educational environment. This model takes into account not only the active interaction of all subjects of studying in view of their previous experience, personal and cultural characteristics, the specifics of educational material in the educational environment of a medical university, but also special training of teachers 153 who conduct their pedagogical activities in multicultural educational environment. However, the result of teachers training can not be confined to the category of educational attainment, which records the fact of knowledge and skills transfer. Organization of educational process for teachers of higher educational institutions should be aimed at the formation of professional competence of the teacher. This category is determined primarily by the level of professional education itself, knowledge, skills, experience and individual abilities of people, their motivated aspirations for continuous self-education and self-improvement, creative and responsible attitude to the case.
