| Abstract: | Reducing mortality and increasing life expectancy have changed the face of civilization. Over the past century, considerably increased the number of people living to the elderly and senile, and their share in the total population. In addition, the requirements to the quality of life of men and women, the elderly and children have increased. The aging of the population in many countries necessitates the study of the physiology and pathology that occur in old age, as well as the development and improvement of specialized geriatric care. |
