| Abstract: | This paper discusses some aspects of subject’s knowledge and skills transfer in the non-academic context with the subject ability to apply this knowledge and skills to solve problems in real life situations, which is called functional literacy. In addition, this paper deals with the higher education problems that are directly related to the teaching of biology, and suggests ways to solve these issues. |
